Lucky you won't decide about modding.Ī split online community is the last thing this game needs.
There is a reason why devs won't accept nor support modding, and they probably never will. This is no fun.įor you and your singleplay this might be a solution, but not for multiplayer, and this is what wargame is about, MP! Have a look at Men of War, how many people use mods, it's hard to find a server without downloading and switching between several mods. Don't paid expansions do the same thing except force people to pay to play with each other? I'm all for mods especially as I'm mainly a singleplayer person and they can really extend the life of a game.Įxpansions are always much more common in communities, mods are not. Seen that way too often in games like Operation Flashpoint, Raven Shield, Battles of empires, BK2 etc. Mods only split communities and make games unplayable. What we need is more expansions, they might cost money, but at least EVERYONE can access and use them, it's more unity. You usually end up with several mods being used by the online community, in order to access every server, you will need to download and use 100s of mods, many you won't even like. Even if mods in it's form are fun, they mainly destroy games, they rip communities apart.
